22-Year-Old Woman Killed in Bristol Township Shooting Late Sunday

A 22-year-old woman was killed in a shooting late Sunday night in Bristol Township, police have confirmed to several media outlets.

Philadelphia's CBS 3 TV reports that the incident occurred around 11 pm Sunday (October 27). Residents reported hearing "about eight or nine gunshots," CBS 3 reports.

The shooting happened in the area of Mitchell and Bloomsdale Roads in the usually quiet Bucks County neighborhood. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Cashe Conover, her family told CBS 3. Police officials have not publicly identified the victim.

It's believed that the victim was out with friends to watch Sunday's Eagles game before visiting her grandfather and friends in the area (where the shooting occurred).

An investigation into the shooting is underway.

Conover's friends and family, meanwhile, told CBS 3 that they aren't sure why she would have been targeted in such an incident.
