Pennsylvania is making a huge change to their drivers licences next year.

According to patch.com, "Pennsylvania residents will soon be able to obtain gender-neutral driver's licenses, the state Department of Transportation confirmed this week."

Pennsylvania will be joining several other states who currently offer a gender neutral option on their drivers licences.

The states plan to put this in motion is still under works but their hoping before this time next year that the third option, gender 'X,' will be available to select. In the meantime officials are will be working on system changes and want to complete this as soon as possible, says patch.com.

I think this is great that the state is staying up to date with the times and is recognizing that the gender 'X' option is going to be not only necessary for residents of the state but will that PA will also be writing an important page in history.
