Living in Hamilton Township around the holidays is extra magical thanks to the amazing two-day holiday event that takes place at Kuser Park in early December.

I recently saw that the Winter Wonderland is once again being held at Kuser Park on December 7th and 8th. It's one of my favorite things to do in my hometown because Kuser Park is transformed, decorated and light up in brilliant lights. The best night to attend is on the first night because they officially light the tree, and this year it's happening on Friday, December 7th at 6pm. The tree is truly something to be seen in person, but until then you can see a picture of it below from last year.

It's almost hard to believe that this is a free event open to the public because there are so many nice things to do with friends and family. According to their official park site they will have the following at the Winter Wonderland: a petting zoo, you can visit Santa's Village for a free photo with Santa, ride the "Holiday Express Train," live music, and also make your own "reindeer food." They'll also have food vendors and Santa's Secret Workshop with crafters,

Two must-sees at Kuser Park's Winter Wonderland is the Jersey Valley Model Railroad Club display, and the Kuser mansion. You'll have to wait in a line to get a tour of the mansion and see the train display, but they move quick and they are worth the wait.

If you only had time to do one thing when visiting Kuser Park in December, I would recommend taking a tour of the mansion. It's stunning and they way they decorate it feels like you're on the set of the most festive Christmas movie. They seem to have a different theme each year as well. So I'm looking forward to seeing what they will have for 2018. You can see pictures I took from previous years below.

It's like you're walking through a classic Christmas storybook.

To see the train display, you'll have to visit the mansion basement. It's awesome to see how they've created a full miniature town with tiny houses, cars, buildings, bridges and of course, trains. You can see a video below.

If you'd also like to help this holiday season, while attending Hamilton's Winter Wonderland, they will be hosting a food and toy drive. Feel free to bring non-perishable foods and/or an unwrapped new child's toy. They will be collecting on site.

If you can't make it this year, watch the video below to see a tour of the grounds. For more information and to see the list of events go here
