U.S. News & World Report ranked Pennsylvania's best hospitals and Bucks County has two hospitals on the list. Doylestown Hospital placed 13th in the state and was rated as advanced performing in six specific procedures including aortic valve surgery, colon cancer surgery, hip replacement and a few more.

Landing at 19th place with a four-way-tie is St. Mary’s Medical Center. Tied for the 19th spot are The Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills.

According to a publication posted by patch.com, the process to select the top hospitals assessed just over 4,500 hospitals in the country across 16 specialities and nine procedures. The rankings are manufactured by the U.S. News with specific research organization and most areas of care are based on patient experience, patient safety and quality of nursing, just to name a few.
