Over the past few weeks, we've told you about how Trader Joe's and Shake Shack would be opening new stores at the Shoppes at Garden State Plaza on Route 70 in Cherry Hill.

We've also learned via Philly.com that Costco, TJ Maxx, and HomeGoods will also be joining the popular shopping center, but amidst all of these additions comes news from patch.com that the Pei Wei restaurant in the complex has closed.

Pei Wei says it was a difficult decision to close their Cherry Hill location, but they're hopeful for the future.

"After close evaluation of the market, we made the difficult decision to close our Cherry Hill restaurant. We would like to thank our loyal guests for their support over the years," Pei Wei said in a statement issued to 94.5 PST. "As we continue to open new restaurants across the country, our sincere hope is to return to Cherry Hill very soon."

This is the second South Jersey Pei Wei location to close in the last two months. Back in August, the Asian restaurant chain closed it's Moorestown Mall location.  That leaves Princeton as the only remaining Pei Wei in New Jersey.
