Even though I can't sleep for a couple nights after watching scary movies I still love them. I don't know what it is because I don't like being scared, and I hate seeing characters I like on screen becoming victims of the monster(s), spirit(s) or serial killer(s) chasing them. In a weird way, I guess they're just fun!

So it was really cool to see this article on ThisIsInsider.com about the scariest movies set in each state. As a resident of New Jersey, I know the Garden State wasn't blessed with "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" for an obvious reason, but I did see that the original "Friday the 13th" was shot in NJ. The original movie actually was filmed in a few places in New Jersey.

I had to look up and see what creepy thriller was filmed in Pennsylvania, and I have to mention it's a good one! Here's a hint: "I see dead people." One of M. Night Shyamalan's best movies, "The Sixth Sense" was filmed and took place in Philadelphia. I have to say M. Night has filmed a few of his movies in the Philadelphia area and I think it's awesome that he highlights the city he was raised in like that.
