This Sunday, there's sure to be plenty of Philadelphia Eagles' fans that will sit down in front of the TV at 1pm only to find that their game is already ending.

That is because the Eagles are in London, England this week to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. Of course, there's a time difference. So the kickoff is at 9:30 am EST.

This is the first time the Birds are playing a regular season game outside of the U.S.  According to Wikipedia, the NFL started playing international games during the 2007 season, and as of now, they plan to continue doing so through at least the 2020 season.

This year, there are three scheduled games in London and one in Mexico.City.

Many restaurants and bars in the Philadelphia area will be opening early for the game, including Killarney's in Hamilton and the Buffalo Wild Wings location in Princeton.  Both of those Mercer County restaurants will actually open their doors on Sunda9 amt 9am.

When the NFL released their 2018 schedule, this game seemed like a great matchup.  The Eagles (the defending Super Bowl champions) and the Jaguars (who made it to the AFC championship game last year) looked to be in great shape.

Unfortunately, both teams are off to a disappointing start this season with 3-4 records.

The Eagles are coming off of a tough loss at home to the Carolina Panthers, while the Jags have lost 3 straight games after starting the season 3-1.

One other note --- the game will not air on broadcast TV.  It's only scheduled to be air on the NFL Network.

The good news is that you'll be done watching football and the day will just be starting.
