Game of Thrones Writer Plans To Launch New Book in NJ

Although "Game of Thrones" fans have to wait until spring of next year for the final season of the HBO series to premiere, fans of the book series will get something new to read in November...and according to nj.com, author George R.R. Martin will launch that book at a special event in Jersey City, NJ.

Martin, who is from Bayonne, NJ, tweeted that he plans to launch "Fire & Blood" on Nov. 19 at Loew's Jersey Theatre and that the event will be "the only appearance and book signing event for Fire & Blood."

NJ.com explains that while "Fire & Blood" takes place in the "Game of Thrones" world, it is actually"the first volume of a two-part history of House Targaryen, set centuries before the events depicted in the HBO series."
