Update: Unfortunately, one of the students, 20-year-old, sophomore, Michael Sot, has died from his injuries. He was driving the other students at the time of the accident. Scot was acting as a designated driver for some of his friends when his vehicle was struck.

ORIGINAL STORY: By now you may have heard about the five students from The College of New Jersey that were injured in a bad car accident early Sunday morning. The accident took place on Pennington Road (near the school's campus).

You can read more details here. The scene looked like a nightmare come true. I feel so terribly for all those involved.

A 22 year old West Windsor man has been charged with assault by auto.  He was impaired at the time of the accident, crossed the yellow lines on the road, and hit the students, head-on, according to authorities. That's terrible. Just terrible.

As you can imagine, it's a hard time for the TCNJ community, especially the family of the students involved. A GoFundMe has been set up for the families for local hotel rooms, to be near their hospitalized children (the students in the accident are not from Mercer County), food, medical bills, and other incurred expenses.

Please consider helping, and keep those affected in your thoughts and prayers.
