Summer is just about gone and just because you haven't planned a vacation yet, that doesn't mean you have to skip one this year.  There's lots of places to see and things to do right here in New Jersey.

Planetware.com has a list of the 12 Top-Rated Tourist Attractions in New Jersey and here are a few of my favorites:

Princeton & Princeton University - Have you ever walked around the campus of Princeton University.  It's the quintessential college campus...and let's be honest, walking around the University is probably the closest most of us will ever to get to actually attending the school.  After exploring the campus, you can check out the shops & restaurants in and around Palmer Square.  (FYI,,,save room for House of Cupcakes).

Adventure Aquarium and Battleship New Jersey in Camden --- I can't confirm that it's true, but Planetware claims that this is the only aquarium in the world with hippos.  That alone is worth the trip, right?  And while you're visiting the aquarium, check out the battleship docked in the Delaware River.  You won't believe that people actually lived in these cramped quarters.

Cape May --- This is always rated as New Jersey's best beach town (and some surveys say it's the best in the country).  If you never been, you're really missing out.
