No More Mardi Gras Mummers Parade in Manayunk

I have to admit, I really don't get people's obsession with the mummers.

Maybe it's because I'm a Jersey Girl.

I mean, yes, they are fun to watch and when I see them, I can't stand still. They always have me dancing.

They are kind of a staple in the Philly area.  So, I'm sure there will be lots of people disappointed to hear the news that I saw on NBC 10 this morning that the Mummers Mardi Gras Parade will not be in Manayunk in 2019.

There is good news, however, because the parade will still happen. It's going to take place in another neighborhood, which has not been revealed yet

No real reason was given, which is making fans scratch their heads because it's been held in Manayunk for the past 4 years.
