After learning that one of Mondelez’s suppliers recalled a possibly contaminated ingredient, Mondelez voluntarily recalled the products before any consumers fell ill. Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause food poisoning. The bacteria is most likely to affect young children, elderly people, and others with frail immune systems, but people of all ages should take caution. Symptoms include fever, chills, and abdominal pain.

This does not affect all Ritz products, so check out the list of recalled products here.
