If you're like me ... a Bucks County resident. You try to avoid the PA Turnpike, unless you're going to Willow Grove or King of Prussia with an exception of a few other circumstances ... or if your GPS throws you on there and it's too late to back out so you're like ... FINE, I didn't want to pay this but I guess I have no choice now.

Sometimes it is unavoidable or the PA Turnpike just cuts your trip in half so it's the most convenient route ... regardless we all end up on it somehow, so you might want to take note of the 6% toll increase that's going to take effect January 6th.

According to buckslocalnews.com, "the most-common toll for a passenger vehicle will increase a dime for E-ZPass customers from $1.30 to $1.40 and 20 cents for cash customers from $2.10 to $2.30," and "The toll increase — like others since 2009 — is required to meet the PA Turnpike’s legislatively mandated funding obligation to support the Commonwealth’s public-transportation systems as well as to maintain and improve the 552-mile Turnpike."

I mean ... it is totally reasonable. But if you're like me and like to calculate every penny in life especially when traveling or maybe your New Years resolution is to save money, a great app that I personally use to calculate tolls is Toll Guru. It's saved me so much!
