Philadelphia Is Hosting A Wild Wizarding Weekend

Calling all Harry Potter and "Fantastic Beasts" movie fans! Grab your wands and broomsticks to attend the Wild Wizarding Weekend in Philadelphia. It starts this Friday, November 23rd and goes through Sunday, November 25th at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University.

I'm a huge J.K. Rowling fan in general, so when I saw this on Philly Voice I had to share because they will be featuring fun events that will make you feel like you're in the "Fantastic Beast" films. According to the event site I saw you can attend things like:

- Dragons After Dark Beer Garden - Friday, November 23, 4–8 p.m.

Where you can enjoy “witches brews and toadily tasty tacos."

- Attend the Wild Wand Workshop, featuring the cast of the Philly Improv Theatre
11 a.m. and 3 p.m.; Additional show 6 p.m., Friday, November 23

The witches and wizard professors/improvisers will teach you how to properly use your new wand that you can later decorate to personalize it.

- Fortune-telling Tea

You can learn more about “tasseography” which is the fortune-telling/reading of tea leaves. You'll also leave with your own blend of tea to later practice reading at home.

- Sorted Out

Here you can be sorted into a magical house and learn about the animals that each house represents/symbolizes. This event features live animals so it will be educational and it will make you feel like you're learning from Newt Scamander himself.
