Thanksgiving is days away. We all know that day will consist of consuming tons of food and there is no such thing as a diet for anyone . . . If you try to eat healthy on that day you are not normal.

Speaking of healthy foods, you may have to be careful of one that more than likely may be a part of your meal on Thanksgiving day. This year you have to be careful with Romaine lettuce. The Center for Disease Control tweeted out saying, "Do not eat any romaine lettuce, including whole heads and hearts, chopped, organic and salad mixes with romaine"

If you think about it, that is very aggressive especially around this time when you are getting ready to gather with your loved ones to have a nice dinner.

Romaine lettuce has been found to be connected with E. Coli and it has infected multiple states in the country. Everyone that has been affected by the romaine lettuce has not died, which is a great thing. However, 13 people have been hospitalized and 38 people have gotten sick by it.

The CDC has mentioned that, “If you do not know if the lettuce is romaine or whether a salad mix contains romaine, do not eat it.” Stay away from romaine lettuce until this E. Coli issue is resolved.
