I personally think menus listing the calories next to food and drink items has been successful. I know when I'm out to eat it has made me second guess some of my choices right before I made my final order. I find myself actually choosing food with less calories when I compare them with other options on the menu.

Now Philadelphia is taking it one step further by having a bill signed that will require menus list the amount of sodium in each item at chain restaurants.

I saw on Metro US that Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney signed the Sodium Warning Label Bill last week. The law will be in effect next year on September 14, 2019.
