One challenge that has come along with the spread of Covid-19 has been grocery shopping. Whether its deciding which time to go, dealing with empty shelves or just feeling uncomfortable being around that many people, it has become one of the harder but necessary activities recently.

It’s hard not to be impressed with the dedicated workers who remain at these grocery stores making it possible for business to run as smoothly as possible. One employee at a ShopRite in New Jersey has always gone above and beyond to cheer up customers. Leticia White, a ShopRite employee of 21 years would regularly dress up as an Easter bunny for the holiday or sport a festive St. Patrick’s Day outfit.

White sang a rendition of the Police song “Don’t Stand So Close To Me” with added lyrics tailored to the Covid-19 situation. The upbeat, ironic song put customers at ease as they shopped the store.

Little actions such as this are what people need the most at times. White reminds people that little gestures of kindness and joy can make a huge difference in a time like this.
