Good news New Hope residents. It sounds like you're about to get another grocery store. McCaffrey's Food Markets is looking to open a new location where the Staples currently is, in the New Hope Shopping Center on W. Bridge Street. Many residents say the area definitely lacks in food store options, with only a Giant grocery store nearby, so this will be a welcomed change.

According to New Hope Free Press, the Staples is closing on February 8th, and Jim McCaffrey III, President and CEO of McCaffrey’s Food Markets, says, "We are working on it, but nothing to confirm yet."

The New Hope Store would be the 7th store for the chain. Their other locations include Yardley (the original), Doylestown, Newtown, Princeton, and West Windsor. I'd love to see another one open in Lawrence Township, where the Acme recently closed in the Lawrence Shopping Center. Residents are missing a food market in that area.
