What's your favorite Christmas movie? I have so many. I try to squeeze them in to our crazy holiday schedule every year, and I'm always thankful that some are only a half hour long, like Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman.

I found a list online that peaked my interest. It was "The Most Popular Christmas Movie" in each state. Hmmmm, what could it be? I was dying to know what New Jersey's was. Charlie Brown Christmas is on ABC tonight at 8pm. That's a good one, right? That's was my guess, but, I was wrong.

Another one of my favorites is The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It's an old one with the Herdman kids, omg, I love it, I cry every year. It stars Loretta Switt. Dave swears I'm the only one who's ever watched it. He may be right, but, it's still one of my favorites, but, again, I was wrong.

I figured this wasn't it, but, another one of my newer favorites is An Elf Story, about the Elf on the Shelf. It's such a sweet story about how tween, Taylor McTuttle wasn't sure if he believed in Santa or not, and the Elf made sure he felt some amazing Christmas magic. Ahh, love it.  Still not NJ's most popular movie, though.

Give up? The most popular Christmas Movie in New Jersey, and also, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Hawaii, according to Rotten Tomatoes and Google Trends is called Trading Places. Huh?  I've never even heard of that movie! It's a movie from 1983 starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd. From what I've hearing, it's like Die Hard, in the sense, where you could definitely debate whether it's a Christmas movie or not.

So, there you have it, New Jersians, you may want to add Trading Places to your holiday movie to-do list. A lot of other residents have.
