I love cereal! It has been my breakfast food of choice for so many years. I have to mention, I was so surprised to see that a new article post by NJ.com said that some popular cereals have traces of glyphosate in them. Glyphosate sounded innocent at first, but then I read that it's a popular ingredient found in weed killers/herbicides.

The bad news kept coming the more I read the article. My heart broke when I read it was found in cereals that I used to eat regularly like Cheerios and Lucky Charms.

Recently, I switched to eating Greek yogurt with either fruit or granola on top for breakfast. I thought I was in the clear until I read that the weed killing ingredient was also found in some bagged granola and granola bar brands as well. UGH! Glyphosate was found in Nature Valley granola bars! I took Nature Valley granola bars with me on vacation to eat as snacks while hiking in Glacier National Park.

Now I know that I need to do some research next time I go buy some cereal and granola products. If you'd like to read more about this and see the list of cereals and granola bars that have glyphosate in them click here
