A few public high schools in Mercer and Burlington counties have ranked as having the best sports programs in the state.

The rankings were done by done Niche.com, which base their rankings off of student and parent reviews from all over the United States and data from the U.S. Department of Education, according to NJ.com.

When it came to analyzing sports Niche.com looked at the sports reviews from the parent and student surveys, the total of students enrolled in the school, the number of sports championships won by the school, number of sports offered at the school, and the boys and girls participation in sports.

Here are the schools from Mercer and Burlington Counties that made the list out of 50 and their rankings for 2019:

45. Nottingham High School
Hamilton Township, NJ
Overall Niche Grade: B+

34. Moorestown High School
Moorestown, Burlington County
Overall Niche Grade: A+

28. Rancocas Valley High School
Location: Mount Holly, Burlington County
Overall Niche Grade: A

25. Hopewell Valley Central High School
Location: Pennington, Mercer County
Overall Niche Grade: A+

8. Cherokee High School
Location: Marlton, Burlington County
National ranking: 65

6. Shawnee High School
Location: Medford, Burlington County
National ranking: 50
