Here's a cool weekend date idea --- do a local food tasting tour.

We have so many great towns in our area (and a lot of great restaurants), right? Well, there is actually a company that helps you explore those places.

According to their website, "On The Town Food Tours is a company that will provide people with fun and delicious educational food experiences in neighborhoods that have some of the best restaurants and bakeries in the state of New Jersey."

One of the tours they offer happens in Bordentown, where stops include Toscano Ristorante & Steakhouse, The Vault, Under the Moon Café, Blue Moon Olive Oil & Vinegars, and The Cake Box by Neelma.  You'll taste Italian tapas, Neopolitan pizza, street foods, cupcakes and more.

Another local tour takes place in Mt. Holly.  Over the course of this tour, you'll visit Robin’s Nest (a favorite of mine), Kitchen 87, Vincent’s Homemade Ice Cream, Gallery 72 Fine Art Photography / ABstract EXpressions Contemporary Art Gallery, Village Idiot Brewing Company, and The Local Eatery & Pub.

Tours usually cost $60 and dates vary.  For more info, click here.
