Large department stores are slowly disappearing from malls across the country.  This includes the Sears located in Quakerbridge Mall.  At a few area malls, the spaces vacated by department stores have been replaced by other retailers.

At King of Prussia Mall, Sears was replaced by UK retailer Primark and Dick's Sporting Goods.  Primark also replaced part of Sears at Freehold Raceway Mall.  And at Moorestown Mall, Macy's is being replaced by HomeSense and Sierra Trading Post.

I would be okay with any of those at Quakerbridge Mall, but here's an idea I like even better.  Accoring to EllwoodCityLedger.com, part of the space vacated by JC Penney's at WIllow Grove Mall will become a Studio Movie Grill.

Studio Movie Grill is a dine-in theater where "moviegoers can choose between table side, counter service or lounge seating with tray tables" while enjoying first-run movies.  Studio Movie Grill is a nationwide chain that currently operated one theater in the Philly area in Upper Darby, PA.

What do you think of my idea?  Do you have another idea on what should replace Sears?
