It's crunch time: Christmas is like 2 weeks away, and my shopping isn't done yet. Yikes!

I'm definitely doing more online shopping this year, but my worst fear is that the packages will get stolen off of our porch. We don't have that Ring doorbell or anything like that, so it makes me super nervous about theft.

It's happening everywhere, so I'd be stupid to think it couldn't happen in my neighborhood.  I just saw on Fox 29 that police in Fort Worth, Texas, are trying to catch the thieves by having volunteers put fake packages on people's front porches with GPS trackers in them, so if someone steals it, police can track it. That's smart.

Of course, you hope it doesn't happen to you, but, if it does, you should file a claim ASAP.

Here are the numbers to call to make it easier for you.

  • Amazon: 888-280-4331
  • eBay: 1-866-961-9253
  • FedEx: 1-800-463-3339
  • UPS: 1-800-742-5877
  • USPS: 800-275-8777

Although, I hope you'll never need the numbers listed above.
