It feels like every time you blink, another buzzworthy food spot decides the Jersey Shore is the place to be. And honestly, who can blame them? Now picture this. A tiny shop in North Jersey builds such a ridiculous amount of hype that people start making road trips for a single slice. Friends drag friends there. Someone’s cousin swears the pizza changed their life. Before long, it becomes “that place” everyone talks about, even if they haven’t been there yet.

Why Is Coniglio’s Old Fashioned So Loved?

A lot of it comes from the style. Coniglio's in Morristown isn’t shy about experimenting. They’ll make a vodka sauce pie that somehow tastes both familiar and brand new. Then they’ll switch it up with a square slice that’s fluffy in the middle and crispy around the edges, topped with béchamel and stracciatella that make you feel a little fancy.

And the best part is the owner has zero interest in slowing down. He has already stretched his pizza skills across the Hudson with a Brooklyn shop that people wait for like it’s a concert. He’s even planning another one in Williamsburg. When someone builds that kind of momentum, it’s only a matter of time before they look at the Shore and go, yeah, let’s do it there too.

Where Is Coniglio's Opening At The Jersey Shore?

Right in Asbury Park, tucked inside a 123-year-old building at 629 Mattison Avenue. The spot has seen a few different businesses come and go, including Killer Pies, but the ovens are already installed for this new chapter. At first, the hours will be trimmed down, and the menu will keep things simple. As the place settles in, sandwiches and more daytime stuff will roll out.

Only after all this do we finally get to the big reveal. The plan is to eventually buy the whole building, snag a liquor license, and build a rooftop hangout. Until then, they’re keeping it small and steady while the original Morristown location expands into an old-school red sauce joint next door.

Looks like Asbury Park just scored a serious win.
