The Chicago White Sox are in the middle of a horrible season and decided to fire manager Pedro Grifol on Thursday. Grifol was in his second season with the team that was 28-89 this season and lost 21 straight games at one point.

On Thursday, the pulled the plug on Grifol.

Chicago replaced him with forner Phillies outfielder Grady Sizemore on an interim basis.

Phillies fans might remeber Sizemore, a three-time All-Star, played to Philadelphia in 2014 and 2015 after spending his first eight seasons with Cleveland and missing the next two years due to injury.

After his Cleveland tenue, he played in Boston, and then Philadelphia, appearing in 99 games with the team, hitting .250 with three home runs, 18 RBIs.

Sizemore was drafted by the Montral Expos in 2000 and later traded along with Cliff Lee and two other ayers to Cleveland for Bartolo Colon.
