Newtown’s Shamrock Shuffle 5K on Saturday

Newtown's Shamrock Shuffle 5k will be this Saturday, March 16th at 9am. That's a great name for a 5k, don't you think? I have a shamrock googly headband and a Kiss Me I'm Irish pin, if anyone needs to borrow them. Lol.

Obviously, the theme is St. Patrick's Day, so grab your green and shamrock gear and get ready to have some fun. A few of my friends have become addicted to running in all the local 5k races, so I'm sure they'll be there.

According to Bucks Happening, the race costs $55, and the course is along Sycamore, Jefferson, and Durham Road. As you finish the run, you'll get a custom bib, a medal just for getting out there on a Saturday morning and running (more than I would do. lol), and a tshirt.  You'll also get a wristband that will give you access to the Newtown Irish Festival at the Green Parrot afterwards. Your wristband will get you one free drink and a continental breakfast. Sounds like a fun day....that could continue into the night.
