The New Jersey NAACP is calling for new leadership to head the State Police after a pair of reports said the agency discriminated against Black troopers.
Tremaine Hadden, 30, of Bridgeton, was found guilty of six counts by a jury, stemming from the April 2020 shootout with State Police Detective Richard Hershey, which left him seriously hurt.
"The original concept was actually a phone number, but due to the overwhelming call volume, we moved it to an automated form," said Jared Maples, director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness.
