Shark Spotted Swimming Ridiculously Close to Shore in Cape May, NJ
For the third time in as many months, there's been a shark encounter at the Jersey Shore. This time, it's along the sands of Cape May, NJ.
I'm gonna cue the 'Baby Shark' music because I believe what was swimming very close to the shore in Cape May this week is indeed a baby shark.
Come on! Sing along with me now!
Don't fight it, lol.
Shark Swims Furiously in Water Ridiculously Close to the Shore in Cape May, NJ
The shark can be seen in the video below, posted to Wildwood Boardwalk/Facebook, swimming back and forth horizontally just feet away from the sand. It was very active.
Both its dorsal fin and tail find were visible above the shallow water, as interested beach goers looked on.
There were probably little fish swimming where the shark was and that area of the water caught the eyes of a hungry shark.
Some feel fearful when an encounter like this happens, but I find it fascinating.
Back in June, a fisherman accidentally hooked a small Great White shark about 15 miles from the coast of Little Egg Harbor. Just last month there was another Great White sighting in the waters off Townsends Inlet near Sea Isle City.
