Selena Gomez Makes History at 2019 Kids’ Choice Awards
Selena Gomez just broke a major Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards record.
The "Back to You" singer made history over the weekend by becoming the most winningest nominee ever—beating celebs like Will Smith and Amanda Bynes. Though she didn't attend the 2019 KCA's on Saturday (Mar. 23), she won her 11th blimp after winning Favorite Female Voice from an Animated Movie for her role in Hotel Transylvania 3.
Her past awards include five wins for Favorite TV Actress for Wizards of Waverly Place, four wins for Favorite Female Singer, and the Selenators award in 2014. The only series that has more awards than Gomez is SpongeBob SquarePants, who has won a total of 14 KCAs over the course of its TV run. However, we can probably expect more awards in SelGo's future. After taking a much-needed break from music, she's preparing her comeback this year. Earlier this month, Gomez revealed she's currently in the studio working on SG2.
"I’m currently in the studio and it’s going really good. I’m just nervous about it, honestly, 'cause I feel like the next few choices that I’m gonna make are very crucial. So I’m trying to be really really diligent and just patient with everything," she said during an Instagram Live feed. "The album is coming soon."
