As fireflies start to reemerge during the spring and summer months, here's what you should avoid doing to your lawn to help their decreasing numbers bounce back.

If you've noticed a decreasing amount of fireflies in New Jersey, you're not imagining things.

It's probably something you wouldn't notice unless it was pointed out - but when I was growing up, it was pretty common to see these at nighttime - so why now is it such a rarity?
