Residents in Warren Township, Somerset County have been told by health officials to be on alert after a teen was bitten by a "sickly-looking" fox in broad daylight.

One rabid raccoon was previously reported in Middlesex County within the first three months of the year, according to state Department of Health statistics, which also indicate just two rabid raccoons identified in the county for all of 2021.
