Big Sean Gives Ex Ariana Grande a Shout-Out on New Song ‘Thank You’ (LISTEN)
Big Sean referenced his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, in his new song "Thank You" with DJ Khaled.
The rapper, who dated Grande from August 2014 to April 2015, dropped a brand new track with Khaled late Thursday night (May 16), in which he raps about his humble beginnings in the music industry and gives thanks to his exes for helping him during his come up.
“I pray that all your growing pains turn gold champagne/ Plus I gotta thank my exes on some ‘thank u, next’ s--t,” he sings, giving the pop star an obvious shout-out.

As most fans know, Grande mentions Big Sean in the opening lines of her 2018 mega-hit single "thank u, next" when she sings the lyrics, "Thought I'd end up with Sean, but he wasn't a match," before name-dropping her other exes, Ricky Alvarez, Pete Davidson and the late Mac Miller.
Then, in the song's accompanying music video, if you check out Grande's Burn Book, during the scenes in which plays Mean Girls' Regina George, it has a picture of her and Big Sean, with the words, "So cute. So sweet. (Can still get it.)"
This sparked a lot of speculation about whether there was a chance the two might get back together. Then, in February, the pair were spotted reuniting in Big Sean's car outside a recording studio in Los Angeles.
