The Best Hotel Restaurant in NJ is Among the Best in the Nation
I always love it when you stay at a hotel, and the hotel has a really delicious restaurant right on the property. It's your go-to during a stay, and you don't even have to leave the property.

It doesn't always happen when you are traveling. I think we have all run into a hotel that has a lousy restaurant, and then it's a journey to head out and find a good restaurant in a town you may not be familiar with.
I like unique hotels to stay in as opposed to the "cookie cutter" hotel chains. Yes, it can be a gamble if you're staying at a boutique hotel, but if you get it right, it's so much better. That being said, it's the same for the restaurant. Unique hotel hopefully means a unique restaurant on property.
According to a recent article from Chowhound written by Sarah Vallie, "When travelling throughout the country, there are a few key things that people look for in a restaurant. They want a place with delicious food or a place that's interesting and unique. Bonus points if it's somewhere convenient, for example, if it's inside your hotel."
What is the Best Hotel Restaurant in New Jersey?
According to Chowhound, the "most famous" hotel restaurant in New Jersey, among the "Best in America", is located in Cape May, New Jersey.
The Ebbitt Room (Virginia Hotel) gets the nod here in New Jersey. "The Ebbitt Room is a seaside restaurant known for its innovative farm-to-table cuisine, attentive service, and refined ambiance. It's located inside the historic, luxury Virginia Hotel in Cape May."
What's The History of the Virginia Hotel?
This historic hotel dates back to 1879. The Virginia Hotel was originally called The Ebbitt House, named after its first owners, Alfred and Ellen Ebbitt.
In the early 1890s, it became known as The Virginia and quickly became a popular place for summer visitors, especially people coming down from Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
