Do you enjoy Chick-fil-A? Millions do and now they are looking to expand their menu for those who may not like the "Chick". According to CookUnity, "As of 2022, 5-8% of the U.S. population declared themselves as vegetarian. 9.7 million Americans are vegetarians and about 1 million do not consume any animal products. About 10% of Americans above the age of 18 fall within the category of vegetarian or vegan."

What is the new sandwich they tested at Chick-fil-A? It's a "semi-vegetarian" Cauliflower sandwich. According to Chick-fil-a, "The Chick-fil-A Cauliflower Sandwich is made from a tender filet from a whole cauliflower that is breaded in our signature seasoning and pressure-cooked in 100% refined peanut oil. Like the original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, the new cauliflower entrée will be served on a toasted buttery bun with two dill pickle chips."

So Jersey, What do you think of this idea? Now before you say "NO" I have had a few cauliflower-based entrees and they have been delicious. A couple of the cauliflower meals came from Trader Joe's. So I would try the sandwich and I'm thinking it tastes pretty much like other Chick-fil-A sandwiches. According to Chick-fil-A, this doesn't count as a vegetarian dish "Because milk and eggs are used in the preparation process and we do not designate vegetarian-only preparation surfaces, Chick-fil-A does not consider the Cauliflower Sandwich to be vegetarian. But the Cauliflower Sandwich is plant-forward."

Time will tell whether or not we ever see this menu item here in the Garden State, but Chick-fil-A did release this statement regarding this new menu item concept. "This menu item was available as part of a limited time test at select Chick-fil-A restaurants. While it may return in the future, we can’t guarantee if or when it will be offered nationwide.
