New Jersey's governor, Phil Murphy, has announced plans for all New Jersey bars, restaurants, movie theaters, and casinos to close at 8 pm tonight until further notice.

Additionally, the governor announced plans for a nightly statewide curfew to be in effect between 8 pm and 5 am nightly, until further notice. To clarify -- the "curfew" means that the governor is  "strongly discouraging" nonessential travel from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Monday night.

The governor announced this during a joint media call on Monday morning with the governors of New York and Connecticut. Both states have similar bans in effect.

Atlantic City's casinos will all close at 8 pm tonight as well, for the foreseeable future.

The governor is expected to reveal more details during an upcoming afternoon press conference.

It appears as if restaurants will be allowed to offer takeout and delivery options.
