As we all know things have been changing a lot because of the coronavirus and one yet another event that is changing this year is the Annual Newtown Car Show. Patch.com recently reported that the Newtown Car Show will be more of a cruise night this year.

According to Patch.com, the Newtown Car Show, or we should call it the "Cruise Night", will be going through the whole Newtown borough and township. The event organizer told Patch.com that the "Cruise Night" is a great way to continue social distancing and "can be viewed from the safety of residents' front lawns."

The Newtown Cruise Night will spotlight some extremely nice old-school vehicles. It was mentioned on Patch.com that the most recent vehicle year included in the Newtown Cruise Night will be from the year 1995. We learned that the vehicle categories are, "Pre-1959, 1960-1969, 1970-1979, 1980-1995, and Foreign cars up through 1995."

We learned from Patch.com that the Newtown Cruise Night will be taking about 100 vehicles to be registered to be a part of the event. Before the actual cruise, the old-school vehicles will be part of a competition. The judges will be picking out their favorites around 5 pm.

The route of the whole Newtown Cruise Night is still to be determined. According to Patch.com, it will be publicized soon so that residents can view from the comfort of their front yard.

The Newtown Cruise Night is set to happen on July 19. Proceeds of the Newtown Cruise Night will be going to Bucks County COVID-19 Recovery Fund.
