
NJ woman was stabbed to death, boyfriend found dead hours later
⚠️ A Lindenwold woman died after police found her with multiple stab wounds Thursday.
➡️ Prosecutors identified her boyfriend as the attacker before he was found dead in Camden.
🔴 Both worked at J and J Snack Foods in Bellmawr, according to posts by their labor union.
A Camden County woman was stabbed to death by her boyfriend, who then left before taking his own life last week, law enforcement said.
Marlene Carmichael, of Lindenwold, was found with multiple stab wounds at a Bilper Avenue home on Thursday, just after 11:30 a.m.
Camden County police had been called about the stabbing. The 53-year-old Carmichael was pronounced dead at a local hospital within three hours.

Detectives identified victim's boyfriend as the attacker
During the investigation, detectives identified the victim’s boyfriend, 64-year-old Harry Gibbs, of Camden, as the attacker.
Just before 3:30 p.m., police responded to MacArthur Drive in Camden.
Officers found Gibbs inside a vehicle, where he had shot himself, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay said. He was pronounced dead shortly after.

Victim and suspect worked together in Bellmawr
Both Carmichael and Gibbs worked at J and J Snack Foods in Bellmawr, according to online posts by their labor union, UFCW Local 152.
They knew each other since at least 2024, based on social media posts by the victim.
