View from my living room:
I prepared for the game by crawling into a cubby hole/attic in the wall behind one of our bedrooms to haul out Christmas decorations. The opening is a lot smaller than it was 20 years ago.

Eagles’ best play
Wide receiver A.J. Brown got the crowd excited by turning a short pass into a 38-yard gain on the first series that set up Jake Elliott’s 26-yard field goal.

Eagles’ worst play

Deebo Samuel broke three tackles to turn a short pass from Purdy in to a 48-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Turning point
The Eagles cut the 49ers’ lead to 21-13 in the third quarter during a controversial series that featured team security director Dom DiSandro getting involved in a sideline scuffle with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw. Greenlaw was ejected and DiSandro was order to leave the field to cheers from the fans.  The Niners weren’t intimidated, however. They answered the challenge on their next possession with Samuel’s 48-yard TD.

Did you notice?
Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota made his first appearance of the season when Hurts was being evaluated for a possible concussion in the the fourth quarter. He completed 2-of-3 passes for 16 yards and gained 6 yards on two carries before Hurts returned. … Wide receiver Quez Watkins had three receptions. He entered the game with four receptions on the season. … Purdy started 0-for-4 before completed 19 of 23 passes. … The Eagles were 4-0 this season when trailing at halftime before this game. … Hurts had won 14 straight games against teams with winning records – the longest current streak in the NFL – before Sunday.
