South Jersey Wawa Abruptly Closes, Store Quickly Gutted
The speed at which this all happened is quite remarkable.
A Wawa in Atlantic County has abruptly closed and within just a matter of hours, the entire store was completely gutted.
And you thought they made hoagies fast.
Closed -- For Now
In a case of open today-closed tomorrow, Wawa on the Black Horse Pike near the old Cardiff Circle in Egg Harbor Township has closed for remodeling.
Yes, it was a fully operating and functional store just a couple of days ago.
As of Wednesday morning, the entire store had been gutted.
Fencing and construction equipment surround the store.
In fact, you can see all the way through the store.
Good News
They're not keeping this Wawa closed for long.
And I should mention that the gas pumps at this Wawa remain open even though the store has been shut down.
Luckily, if you gotta have a Wawa, there are other stores nearby, including one on the circle at Atlantic City International Airport and another just two minutes down the Black Horse Pike at Fire Road.
So, no worries -- you can still get your morning coffee.
What we can expect when this store reopens is a bit of a mystery, but not too long ago, you gave us some suggestions as to how Wawa can improve their stores. Will we see any of these ideas?
