Pregnancy can often bring feelings of fear and uncertainty. When a pregnant woman is coping with addiction, it can be really hard to ask for help.

But since 2017, a group of trusted community groups has been working together to help pregnant women struggling with addiction throughout Mercer County. The Henry J. Austin Health Center, Capital Health, HomeFront, Catholic Charities, The Rescue Mission and Trenton Health Team offer FREE immediate services through the state-funded For My Baby And Me program. For help, just call 609-256-7801.

They understand that sometimes moms are scared to seek help. But they encourage expecting moms to take that important first step to get help. Be brave.

You are not alone. They can help you beat addiction and keep your baby.

For My Baby And Me provides FREE health care, including prenatal care, labor & delivery, postnatal care, birth classes and education, breastfeeding support, pediatric care and primary care. In addition, they provide FREE safe and sober housing, medication for withdrawal symptoms and intensive outpatient addiction treatment, along with help with transportation, food and clothing.

And most importantly, they know you love your baby. They know you are struggling. And they also know that now is the best time to get help. They will answer the phone, talk with you in a kind, respectful way, find out what you need and figure out a way to help you.

To get started, all you need to do is call 609-256-7801. You also can learn more at formybabyandme.org.
