If you were at the New Jersey balloon festival the past few years over at Solberg Airport in Reading Township just know that it has officially been pushed back to October due to the coronavirus. The new dates for the festival are October 16 to the 18. According to NJ.com, the New Jersey Lottery Balloon Fest has self-proclaimed that they are the "largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival in North America.”

So if you were looking forward to going again this year, or maybe for the first time, just know that you now have to wait a little longer to attend the New Jersey Balloon Fest.

In an Instagram post made by @NJBalloonFest, part of the caption stated that the main reason for the change of the date is because of the "safety and well-being of our patrons, balloon pilots, concert headliners, partners, vendors, staff and the overall community, are our foremost concern."

If you think about it, the New Jersey Lottery Balloon Festival will be a lot better in the fall because it will not be so hot and humid like it would be in the summertime.

If you have never attended this event, one thing you might want to know is that this event attracts tons of people. According to NJ.com, just last year the New Jersey Lottery Balloon Festival hosted over 169,000 people. That is not a place you want to be at if you are trying to stay away from crowds for the rest of the year.

In the New Jersey Balloon Fest Instagram post, it was also shared that you can get the New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning coloring pages that are good for kids of all ages. The coloring pages can be found on the New Jersey Lottery Balloon Festival’s website.
