Jersey is known for a lot of things; our beaches, Italian food, seafood, and our gorgeous state parks.

We're also pretty well known for two more things; diners and legal recreational marijuana.

You usually don't think of those two things in the same sentence, however, there are plans in the works to turn a shuttered NJ diner into the state's newest dispensary.

It may sound kind of crazy, but it's not the first time it's happened.

There's also a company looking to be approved to open a dispensary at the former Dennys off 73 which recently was a Boiling Seafood and Ramen Mini-Hot Pot.

Even though Marijuana isn't my thing, I have no issue with dispensaries opening up around Jersey.

If I'm allowed to go pick up a couple of beers to have at the end of the week then why can't people do the same thing with weed if they aren't drinkers?

So, What Former NJ Diner Is Looking To Be Turned Into A Dispensary?

It was, from what I can tell a pretty popular diner when it was open.

Unfortunately, though, it looks like this place had to close up shop back in 2017.

What's kind of crazy, is that the company that wants to turn the former diner into a dispensary, NJ Green Care, doesn't plan on making changes to the exterior of the building.

It'll still look like a classic Jersey diner from the outside, but would be something totally different once you get inside!

According to the Burlington County Times, it appears as though the Sage Diner in Mount Laurel may be turned into a dispensary.

Located off Church Road near Route 73 in Mount Laurel there's a lot that has to happen before this plan moves forward.

Right now, NJ Green Care is in the application status, and they'll have to present a 24-hour security plan to the Mount Laurel Board.
