Animal shelters in our area are doing an amazing deed. They are welcoming/rescuing Hurricane Dorian dogs and according to Patch.com 15 dogs have been rescued as of now.

Patch mentioned that just on Monday Somerset Regional Animal Shelter in Bridgewater welcomed in 10 different dogs. All the dogs are of different ages, up to 5 years old.

The manager at the shelter mentioned to Patch.com that they have reached out to other shelters in the south to be able to rescue more dogs. If you are looking for a new pet you are in luck because Patch reported that some of the furry friends are ready for adoption.

Other shelters also have helped rescue dogs from the south and keep them away from Hurricane Dorian. According to Patch.com, St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center in Madison, NJ rescued dogs from South Carolina.

We have to make sure our furry friends stay safe. The dog shelters are all taking donations to help take care of all rescued dogs.
