There are many different initiatives throughout local towns to help create normal activities and events to help with the grueling social distancing policies. In Princeton one volunteer and her daughters decided it was time to bring a summer favorite back a little early to help out.

Normally in the summer months, The Red Umbrella Princeton holds story time every Thursday night at the community pool. Featuring guest readers who bring their favorite childhood stories to read to others. The story time is followed by arts and crafts, with a fun summer snack to close out the afternoon.

So Veronica Olivares Weber and her two daughters have brought story time to a virtual audience. They were concerned about the mental health of those stuck inside and away from people during this time.

Their hope is that this online story time experience will help bring a little joy back into families’ lives.
