State Police Superintendent Col. Patrick Callahan told New Jersey 101.5 in 2020 that ticket quotas such as to satisfy increased enforcement of speed limits are illegal in New Jersey.

Just 1 in 25 people got behind the wheel more often in the early months of COVID, but those drivers tended to skew younger and disproportionately male, a traditionally riskier population.

To celebrate the 100 years of service the New Jersey Police State is setting up the New Jersey State Police Classic Car Show on October 16th.

"The original concept was actually a phone number, but due to the overwhelming call volume, we moved it to an automated form," said Jared Maples, director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness.
