Like the name suggests, Scoop Shop, hints that Tastykake wanted to create ice cream inspired treats, according to PRNewswire. These cookies and cream mini donuts are just the first offerings from the Philadelphia snack food company's Scoop Shop line. They plan on expanding it in late April with the release of their Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich (mint chocolate chip ice cream flavored cream filled cookies).

Tastykake's news doesn't end there because they also announced that they partnered with Philly's famous Bassetts Ice Cream (the nation's oldest ice cream company) to help with their new product launch. PRNewswire revealed that Bassetts will be selling limited-edition milkshakes that use Tatsykake Scoop Shop's treats. The bad news is they'll only be sold at their Reading Terminal Market location starting on March 22nd.

Though those milkshakes won't be available throughout the area, I do think they'll be a cool addition to Reading Terminal Market because it's a great foodie destination in Philadelphia.
