Ways to Kick off the First Weekend of Fall in Philly

Wow! Fall is upon us! It might not feel like sweater weather yet, but that does not mean that you cannot embrace fun fall activities for the start of fall this upcoming weekend. Many events are happening from September 27th-29th to bring in the new season!

An ideal way to spend part of your weekend is at an autumn wonderland at the Delaware River waterfront! Another event you can participate in is any of the 3 Oktoberfest celebrations on Saturday. They are Bloktoberfest on Washington Avenue, Uptoberfest at Uptown Beer Garden and Ardmore Oktoberfest. You could also get your excitement for Halloween fulfilled by going trick-or-treating at a local winery in the city!

Dress up in your favorite costume and enjoy five Halloween-themed stations on the Chaddsford Winery property with yummy treats and alcoholic beverages. Starting the weekend off early is the Cherry Street Pier venue festival on Thursday night. Then the Philly Music Fest ends with performances from over 20 local artists at University City's World Cafe Live on both Friday and Saturday.
