Is Philadelphia becoming the Hollywood of the east?  This summer, crews were spotted throughout the city filming Jason Segel's new TV show, Disptaches From Elsewhere.

People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, Idris Elba, was also spotted in the city this summer. He was preparing for his role in the upcoming movie, Concrete Cowboys.

Now, we've heard that Robert De Niro and Kate Winslet are both coming to Philly as part of two upcoming projects.

According to phillychitchat.com, Winslet is expected to be in West Chester in October to film scenes for a new HBO series and a month later, De Niro (and Shia LaBeouf) will be in Philly shooting a new movie called After Exile.

IMDB.com says that the HBO series that Winslet will be starring in is called Mare of Easttown.  The site describes the show this way --- "A detective in a small Pennsylvania town investigates a local murder while trying to keep her life from falling apart."  There's no word on when the show will air.

Meanwhile, vulture.com reports that De Niro and LaBeouf will play father and son in After Exile.  The thriller is being directed by Joshua Michael Stern ('Jobs').  IMDB also lists Chloë Grace Moretz and Shailene Woodley as part of the cast.
