One thing that most people have thought about is what they would do if they won the lottery. Go on a trip, buy a house, go on a shopping spree, and invest the money are all common answers I hear when people are asked what they would do. Personally, I would buy a house as close to Disney World as possible, share some of the money with my family, and donate some of the money to my favorite charities. For one New Jersey citizen, the dream of winning the lottery came true after Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing.

According to NJ.com, one of three $1 million tickets sold was purchased in New Jersey. NorthJersey.com confirmed that the winning ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven in Pine Beach. The other two winning tickets were purchased in Florida and Oklahoma. Now, I know what you're thinking, "the odds of me winning the lottery are so unlikely". To be exact, New Jersey.com stated that the odds of winning a Mega Millions ticket that matches the five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1. The odds of winning the second place prize of $1 million are 1 in 12,607,306. Although these odds may not be in your favor, for $2 dollars you can buy a Mega Millions ticket and potentially become a winner.

Sadly, most of us did not wake up today as a millionaire after winning the lottery. On the bright side, no one has purchased a jackpot winning ticket! This means that Friday's drawing is now at $422 million. This drawing will be the sixth largest Mega Millions prize. So after work today, make sure you stop by your local gas station or grocery store and buy yourself a Mega Millions ticket. Watch the drawing on Friday night and cross your fingers that you have the six matching numbers.
